I ask your blessing!
I am in receipt of the letter sent to me on August 11th, 2009. Your letter raised two issues of importance: our exchange at the convention and alleged online postings.
With regard to our exchange at the convention, please be aware that when I asked my questions during the question and answer session, I did not do so to show disrespect to you or the office which you hold, but because I was concerned.
With respect to the online postings, I assure Your Eminence that if you perform an internet search of my name, you will find that allegation to be false. There are a few postings by others, including a few anonymous ones, that might concern you, but I have not authored any of those. To state it plainly, I have not been posting criticisms of yourself and the hierarchy since the convention under either my own name or a pseudonymn. I do not know why you believe I have been doing this, but I have not. I do not know whether any of this changes the way you perceive my service within the archdiocese, but I did want to inform you personally, and directly, that I have not done that which you claimed I did.
